About me
Philip Scott has been in Education for over 20 years (well, closer to 30 now), proving that teachers don't get to fully graduate! In his current role as a consultant with Edmonton Catholic as a Careers Specialist, he's constantly juggling opportunities to support staff and students while developing his own abilities—talk about multitasking! Originally trained to be a High School Physics, Chemistry, and Math teacher, Philip has taught just about everything but underwater basket weaving (he couldn't hold his breath long enough). His extensive repertoire includes Sciences (Jr/Sr High), Maths (Jr/Sr High), CTS, CTF, Humanities for grades 5-12, and Band.
When he's not teaching, you might find him cracking dad jokes about career education: "Inspecting mirrors is a job I could see myself doing," or "Being a professional dog walker is a paws-itively great career." And if you ever hear him say, "I'm on a mission to help students find their careers—it's a pretty good gig," just know he's living his dream of making education fun and meaningful.
